Yesterday, Chiddy Bang updated their MySpace page with a remix of Kid Cudi’s Day N Night. While remixing and sampling is common in the hip hop world, it usually involves taking a pop song and adding a few verses. It’s always fun to hear artists redo other hip hop artists’ works. Kanye West, possibly the most divisive artist of this decade, has performed for VH1 Storytellers. I have always been a solid fan of Yeezy’s work. Of course like most fans can do without about 15% of his antics, but one must remember that it’s the eccentricities that make an artist an “artist”.
