I have been a huge fan of Uniqlo’s jeans since their Soho store opened back in November 2006 and lately the store has been coming on strong with some progressive fashions from socks to jackets to oxford shirts. Probably best of all it’s all damn affordable.
Uniqlo is uniquely (sorry) showcasing their Spring 2009 fashions at the Soho store in Manhattan. To check out the goods you have to literally take a closer look, peaking through magnifying windows at tiny mannequins decked out in the Spring styles. Something worth checking out this weekend.
Yesterday, Pretty Much Amazing posted several tracks from this new artist, Chiddy Bang from Philly. Touting them as “The Coolest Thing Since the Cool Kids,” and given the fact that I’ll check anything that PMA is advocating, I snatched up the tracks he had posted and turns out he was right. Stream a few tracks below then head over to PMA or purevolume to grab the downloads.
spzship posted this new Kanyemixtape last night. I have a feeling I’ll be listening to this on repeat for a few days (.. maybe weeks if it’s anything like Sky High). Head over to spzship to grab it immediately.
Every time we see Megan Fox she looks fantastic, even when she’s going to grab a cup of coffee. Combine those fantastic looks with some special effects and a Kid named Cudi and you have a compelling reason to watch what seems to be a teaser trailer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. More pics and the video after the jump.
“On Repeat” is a segment that will include albums (both old and new) that just seem to stick in our current rotation of listens.
For our first installment we have Travis Barker and DJ-AM’s mixtape that dropped last year. I picked this up from GetRight Music a few months back, but only recently has it planted itself into my playlist. This genre spanning explosion of live drum tracks over skillfully mixed pop and not-so-pop songs keeps the listener fully entertained. While not as schizo as Girl Talk, it definitely keeps your ADHD brain satisfied. Highly recommended.
Check out a vid of Travis and AM doing their thing after the jump
Here’s a video of Asher Roth and Kid Cudi performing at PURE in Las Vegas for the Famous Stars and Straps Magic ‘09 After Party. That’s a hell of a description.
Anyway, Roth begins with “Canon” and there’s a little bit of “I Love College.” Cudi, of course, does “Day ‘N Night”
You can get these tracks on XXL’s 10 Freshman mixtape at Get Right. It’s worth the download. Check the vid after the jump.
