Yesterday, Chiddy Bang updated their MySpace page with a remix of Kid Cudi’s Day N Night. While remixing and sampling is common in the hip hop world, it usually involves taking a pop song and adding a few verses. It’s always fun to hear artists redo other hip hop artists’ works. Charles Hamilton, leaked a new track on twitter this morning, and it’s kind of alarming since the track is titled “Bud Dwyer” who was an American Politician that committed suicide in 1987 during a televised press conference.  Charles always seemed to bounce back and forth between fun Sonic infused songs, and sort of morbid track such as Hell Boyz, which sampled The Clash. <track after jump>

Kanye West, possibly the most divisive artist of this decade, has performed for VH1 Storytellers. I have always been a solid fan of Yeezy’s work. Of course like most fans can do without about 15% of his antics, but one must remember that it’s the eccentricities that make an artist an “artist”. Gotta take the good with the bad, and besides most of the time it’s just pretty funny.  Check out the video for “Flashing Lights” after the jump and head over to Hypebeast for all the videos.

I have been a huge fan of Uniqlo’s jeans since their Soho store opened back in November 2006 and lately the store has been coming on strong with some progressive fashions from socks to jackets to oxford shirts.  Probably best of all it’s all damn affordable.

Uniqlo is uniquely (sorry) showcasing their Spring 2009 fashions at the Soho store in Manhattan.  To check out the goods you have to literally take a closer look, peaking through magnifying windows at tiny mannequins decked out in the Spring styles.   Something worth checking out this weekend.
